College Park Badge

About College Park Criterium

Bike racing, family fun, food, music and more. Just like the day before, but different.

Sunday, May 3rd, 2020, we celebrate the freedom and joy of the bicycle for all ages, while continuing the weekend festivities with our Cyclo de Mayo Bayou Block Party! We’ll enjoy a day of fun, food, music and spectacle, while packs of wild cyclists (some of the fiercest in the United States) zip through the historic streets of downtown College Park on an exhilarating course with tight corners and a crazy steep hill. We’re closing the streets to traffic for the day, so fans can get close to the action while enjoying the day’s other family-friendly activities.

Important Update:

After extensive deliberation, we are cancelling May’s Spin the District events in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. While we wish we could stay the course and keep planning the best racing experience, we believe caution is what’s best for the health and longevity of Spin. Thank you for your support and understanding. We’ll see you in September!

What’s going on

Soak up the Georgia sunshine at our Bayou Block Party with live music, food trucks, and races! Bring out your lawn chairs, tents and sunscreen and thrill to the speed of the passing cyclists.

Kids races!

Bring the kiddos out to be part of the action and start their racing career off right. Just before the pro-woman head to the line, we’ll kick off the evening races with two show-stopping events for the next generation of racers: 1) those who have been riding a good bit and 2) those who are just starting out. It’s all for fun, but pride and participation ribbons could get the best of your youngins 🙂 Schedule: 3:30 Rider (parent) meeting to get things organized 4:00 Rider call ups (or children round up) Race 1: One lap blast: Children who’ve been riding and feel confident to complete one lap of the approximately 1/2 mile course. Race 2: Straightaway Sprint: Tykes with trikes, training wheels, and striders line up for a mad dash from one loving parent on the starting line to the other parent (or loved one) on the finish line. The more the merrier and the faster they tend to go. Don’t forget their helmet
