Bike racing starts in the ATL Airport District

WELCOME TO THE ATL AIRPORT DISTRICT – In the shadow of the world’s busiest airport, 10 short minutes from the bustle and bright lights of Atlanta, you’ll find the ATL Airport District. We’re one of the South’s premiere destinations for business meetings large and small, providing business and leisure travelers valuable advantages in efficiency and convenience, and just generally being legit and uber professional—until the weekend hits. That’s when things get fun.

ATL Airport District encompasses four Southside cities: College Park, Hapeville, and Union City. With their powers combined, they create a super-destination with a unique blend of assets: the world’s most traveled airport, Georgia’s second largest convention center, more than 7,000 hotel rooms, and an eclectic mix of great restaurants, all just minutes from downtown Atlanta. The District offers the amenities and conveniences of the 10th largest economy in the U.S. (haaay Atlanta), enhanced by the quirky eclectic Southside life that keeps our visitors wanting more.

A WEEKEND OF FUN FOR ALL—EVEN YOU. AND YOU. AND THAT KID OVER THERE.

With plenty of hotels, restaurants, and things to do besides bike racing, the ATL Airport District (AAD) is the place to be on Spin weekends. Sure, you’re just a short jaunt from the big city (helpful if you need the breakneck pace of the concrete jungle to keep the adrenaline pumping after the races)—but we’ve got everything you need right here.

Here’s what we can provide within the ATL Airport District:

Lodging: There are over 7,000 hotel beds in the AAD, from affordable to four-star. (Pro travel tip: Because hotels near airports have better soundproofing, you’ll often find you’re much less likely to hear your neighbors when you stay in the District.)

Download a hotel map, find a place to stay on the AAD website, or check out the special Spin the District rates we’ve negotiated with select hotels!

Eateries: We’ve got 80+ places to eat. Go mom-and-pop or find your favorite chain. Choose traditional or eclectic, international or down-home. Chances are we have what you’re craving. Download a restaurant map, or find a place to dine on the AAD website.

After hours: Arches Brewing, Uptown Comedy Club and a healthy dose of bars, the ATL Airport District has you covered.

Family Friendly: Find the Delta Flight Museum, Chick-fil-A Home Office Backstage Tour, The Hapeville Depot Museum and more, just minutes from your stay.

Stay Outside! Of course we recommend you stay for all of the races and really soak up the festival vibes, but if you want to do something else while you’re here, we welcome you to play a few holes at the Historic College Park Golf Course, bring your mountain bike and try the Ride and Fly Mountain Bike Trails and Pump Track, or take the kiddos to any of our parks for some classic, wholesome playground fun.
