Spin The District

Why We Spin Documentary Premiere

Join us for the premiere of our documentary celebrating the thrilling world of Criterium-style bike racing!

Not sure what a Criterium is—or even how to say it? Don’t worry, you’ll find out. This lighthearted yet passionate journey dives into why cyclists race, why cities and promoters make it happen, and what keeps this electrifying sport alive.

In part one of this two-part series, we’ll hear from the people behind the scenes and riders of all levels as they share what fuels their passion—why they ride, why they race, and why we all push through the challenges to create an event that brings riders, spectators, and communities together.

This is Why We Spin.

Ride Details

Ride One:
16-miles. For experienced riders used to riding in a group and a little traffic. We’ll take an easy jaunt through Hapeville and College Park keeping around a 15-18mph average. It’s a low traffic ride with about 900′ of elevation. A good ride to work up an appetite and loosen up the legs for a weekend of racing. A GPX file will be supplied in case you get separated from the group.

Ride Two:
Will be around 8-10 miles around the city of Hapeville and will be a very casual pace. The ride is open to anyone wanting to ride. This will be a no drop ride meaning the ride leader will make occasional stops to make sure the group stays together.

For both rides, helmets and a rear blinky light are required.
